Fred Cline has been a resident of Washington State since 1958.  At the age of two, Fred's family transferred from Wichita, Kansas to Puyallup, Washington due to his father's employment with the Boeing Company.  Soon after arriving in Puyallup his father left Boeing to pursue a career as a police officer.

Fred and his father shared similar interests in photography and car racing.  From 1971 to 1973 they took pictures for Seattle International Raceway promoting both racing and the Raceway itself.  After graduation from high school in 1973, Fred began fulfilling two passions at once; he toured the western United States with a top fuel dragster team and continued his photography work.  Over the next eighteen years he was a crew member on a variety of nitro funny cars and super charged altered racing teams, always having a slide or video camera at hand.

After the passing of his father in 2001, Fred renewed his interest in photography by purchasing his first digital camera, a Canon Pro 90.  Within months, aided by the encouragement of family and from his friend Ilovene Potter, it was suggested that he start a photography business.

Selecting a business name was the most difficult decision for Fred.  After having a heart to heart talk with his mother, the decision was made to name the business "The Sky's the Limit Photography."  In part, the company's name is a tribute to Ilovene who early on saw Fred's love of nature and photography in his eyes.  Ilovene was the first female helicopter pilot in Washington State and the fiftieth in the world.  She's influenced and inspired many people during her lifetime.

This web site provides a portal for others to enjoy and purchase Fred's passion of nature and photography.
